What we do

Through its alumni and associate members the BFSA has developed an international network enabling all Fulbright scholars to be involved in transatlantic and international relations after their scholarship has ended.

The association welcomes US Fulbright scholars to the UK, providing hospitality and a mentoring service during their stay. We also participate in the US/UK Network to assist the Fulbright Association in the US to provide a similar programme for UK grantees.

We arrange high profile lectures and debates on international affairs to stimulate transatlantic understanding and networking.

We publish a quarterly newsletter and keep in touch with regular news bulletins informing members of events/exhibitions/performances involving the work of BFSA members.

The BFSA Travel Award is granted annually to a current UK Fulbright Award holder to enhance their experience in the USA.

The Annual Concert of Fulbright and other world class musicians is held in May.

We arrange an autumn reception each October in a highly prestigious and unusual venue to welcome the UK Fulbright Award holders back from the US.
