Dr Philip Swan

DR Philip Swan, Chair
Dr. Philip Swan is Principal Lecturer in History at the University of Lincoln, and Director of the Centre for Regional and Local History. His main area of research is in the Social History of Medicine, and his PhD was on ‘Medical Provision in the West Riding 1851-1871’. In recent years he has published and presented public lectures on aviation history and in particular Royal Air Force Bomber Command in Lincolnshire.

Philip was the 2005/2006 Fulbright-Robertson Visiting Professor of British History at Westminster College, Fulton, Missouri.
